Austin Contractor Row Claim
This page describes a $249 one-time claim on a single row of the Austin contractor ranking board. The board is built from a City of Austin permit dataset and ranks contractor names by how many permits the city issued to them inside a set window.
A claim attaches three things to a row that already exists: your business homepage, your logo, and a display name you choose. It does not touch the numbers behind the row.
A claimed profile never changes a company’s permit rank.

What the board shows in the current window
The window runs from 2026-05-11 to 2026-08-09. It reads 2021 source rows from the city extract and ranks the top 25 contractor names by permit count. The row at position one holds 48 permits.
Of the ranked rows, 24 can be claimed today and 1 cannot. The reason for that exclusion is explained further down this page.
Ranks and counts move only when the city publishes new permit records and the board rebuilds. Money never moves them. Open the Austin contractor ranking board to see the current rows.
What an accepted request would include
- A verified business homepage
- One outbound link from your row to your homepage, added only after we confirm that you control that domain.
- A vendor-supplied logo
- One small image that you send us and attest you have the rights to use. We never copy a logo from your site on our own.
- A visibly labeled PAID CLAIM marker
- Your row carries a plain PAID CLAIM label beside the claimed fields, so any reader can tell paid display from city source text.
- A sealed before-and-after row diff
- A record of the row exactly as it read before the change and exactly as it reads after, with a checksum, sent to your business inbox and kept on file.
Those four items are published within five business days after identity proof is accepted. If proof is never accepted, nothing is published and nothing is owed.
What a claim is not
- Not a quality rating. We do not score work, price, or conduct.
- Not license verification. We do not check whether any license is current.
- Not a city endorsement.
- Not a preferred or paid rank. There is no paid position, no boost, and no reordering.
- Not a change to the record. The raw source label, the rank, the permit count, and the source history stay exactly as the city extract left them.
A claim proves two narrow things: that a business identity matches a government record, and that the requester controls that business domain. That is the whole claim.
How verification works
- Domain control. You show control of the business domain, and you write to us from a shared inbox on that same domain.
- Identity match. You point us to an official permit, license, or business-registration record whose identity matches the ranked row exactly.
- Human review. A person compares the record, the domain, and the row. Nothing is approved automatically.
- Logo rights. If you send a logo, you attest in the form that your business owns it or is licensed to use it.
Ambiguous or colliding business identities are refused. If two businesses could plausibly be the same row, or the source label is too vague to tie to one registration, we say no and explain why. A refusal costs nothing.
A published claim or logo can be reported and taken down if it is disputed. Use the correction form for that and say what is wrong and which business you are writing for.

City source labels arrive the way the city stores them, spacing and punctuation intact. The example below uses a placeholder label to show the shape of the diff. It is uncorrected source text shown as an illustration only. It is not a correction request, not a complaint, and not a statement about any business.

The diff is the point. You can hold both versions side by side and check for yourself that only the display fields moved.
One ranked row cannot be claimed right now
1 row inside the current top 25 is excluded from claiming. Its raw source label explicitly describes a DBA or registered trade name, so the label points at a naming arrangement rather than at one identity we can match cleanly.
That row stays visible in the ranking with its rank and permit count intact. It simply carries no paid-claim link.
If you own that business and believe the identity is unambiguous, use the correction form and show the registration. We would rather re-open a row on evidence than guess at it.
Factual corrections are always free
If the board states something factually wrong about a row, tell us and we fix it at no charge, whether or not anyone ever pays for a claim. Corrections run through a separate form so that no fix ever depends on money.
Corrections cover things like a row that ties two different businesses together, a permit count that does not match the source extract, or a homepage pointing at the wrong company. Corrections do not cover requests to raise a rank, hide a count, or edit source history.
How many people see this board today
Google Search Console counted 7 impressions and 0 clicks for the Austin contractor board from July 11 through August 7, 2026. That is the entire audience record we have, and we print it here because you should price this offer against it.
We are not selling search traffic, leads, or movement in any ranking. We are selling a labeled, checked claim on a public page whose readership right now is very small. If that is not worth $249 to you, the honest answer is to skip it.
What the link tag means
Any future paid homepage link is published with rel=sponsored nofollow. That tag tells search engines the link was paid for. It does not promise a search benefit of any kind, and you should not buy a claim expecting one. Treat the link as a path for a reader who is already looking at your row.
Source and method
Rows come from the City of Austin Issued Construction Permits dataset, dataset ID 3syk-w9eu. Open the dataset page on the City of Austin open data portal and read the fields yourself.
Method: pull issued permits inside the window, group by the contractor name string exactly as the city stores it, count permits per name, sort by count, and publish the top 25. Names are not merged, cleaned, or normalized, which is why some labels look strange.
The City of Austin does not sponsor or endorse this page. This board is an independent reading of an official government dataset.
Price, cancellation, and refunds
The price is $249, one time, for one row. There is no subscription and no renewal.
Because there is no checkout, no money is taken during this test. For a future accepted order, you can cancel and be refunded at any point before publication. After publication, factual errors stay corrected free of charge.
Privacy
We do not pull contact details out of the dataset, we do not run outreach, we do not collect owner or personal data, and no automatic email goes out from a ranked row. The request form accepts a shared business inbox and evidence tied to a business domain. We do not ask for a person's name, and you should not enter one.

How this test gets reviewed
August 16, 2026 is a checkpoint, not a verdict date. If no requests arrive while reach is this low or unknown, that is a result about reach, not proof that buyers rejected the offer. We will say plainly which of the two it was.
Questions
Can I pay to move up the board?
No. Rank comes from permit counts in the source extract and nothing else. A claim never moves a row up or down.
Will my raw source label be tidied up?
No. The city label stays printed as it is. A claimed display name is a separate field shown beside it and labeled as claimed.
Can I claim a row for a company I work with but do not own?
Only if you can act for that business and can show control of its domain plus a matching government record. Otherwise we refuse.
What happens if two businesses claim the same row?
Both are refused until the identity is unambiguous. An unclaimed row beats a wrong one.
Can a claim be removed later?
Yes. Ask through the correction form and the claimed fields come off the row. Source data was never changed, so nothing else moves.
Do I pay anything today?
No. This page takes requests only. Any invoice would come later, after a person accepts the request, and you could cancel before publication.
